DeepRant is a desktop utility designed to facilitate real-time, context-aware communication in multiplayer games. It solves the language barrier and the need for specialized gaming terminology by providing an AI-powered translation layer that integrates directly into game chat interfaces.

How it works

Built using Rust and Tauri, the application runs locally on your system. It captures text input via hotkeys, processes the translation or refinement through your chosen AI model (such as DeepSeek, OpenAI, or local models via Ollama), and injects the result back into the game chat. It supports multiple input methods, including in-place text replacement and a dedicated overlay window for games that restrict direct text manipulation. All user settings are stored locally in a SQLite database, and API keys are managed via the system's secure credential store.
