6,000+ Claude Code mods, with what each one can access before you install it. Context and usage meters, prompt cache warmers, status lines, guards and more, with install hints.
What it is.
A publicly maintained list (catalogue) of mods for Claude Code, a developer tool. A mod is a small plugin built with JavaScript or TypeScript that changes how Claude Code looks or behaves — for example, adding a file tree, keeping a cost meter on screen, or checking a command before it runs. The catalogue currently lists 6,092 mods (as of the last scan on 2026-10-22).
What it does.
The project automatically scans public GitHub repositories for mods and records what each mod can read, write, run, or send over the network — as reported by Claude's own validator. It presents this information in an online directory (at mods.aidojo.si) and in a downloadable Markdown file. The goal is to help you see exactly what a mod can access before you install it.
The scan is independent of Anthropic (the maker of Claude Code) and is not an official directory.
How to use it.
You can browse the full catalogue by name or task and filter by access rights. There is also a special mod called mod-finder that you can install inside a Claude Code terminal session to ask for mod suggestions in plain English. To install it, run:
/plugin install mod-finder --marketplace karanb192/awesome-claude-code-mods
Then reload plugins with /reload-plugins. Requires Node 18 or later.
To use any mod, you need Claude Code version 2.1.287 or later. The README recommends reading a mod's source code and access details before installing.
Featured mods.
The README highlights six mods for everyday tasks, each with a short description and a demo link:
- cache-tax — keeps the prompt cache warm and shows cost estimates.
- image-view — shows thumbnails of pasted images above the prompt.
- prismantis — renders tables, code, diagrams and charts in the transcript.
- flightdeck — live dashboard of context, cost, permission checks and subagents.
- filetree — file tree with Git status, highlights files as Claude reads/edits them.
- prompt-rail — a strip of past prompts to hover over and reread.
Building mods.
The README links to Anthropic’s official guide and announcement, plus several community tools (like mod-builder skills) that help you create, test, and package your own mod.
How the scan works.
A scheduled job searches GitHub for repositories with the claude-code-mod topic, runs claude plugin validate on each one, and publishes the results (after a human review step). The site and the catalogue use the same data. If the scan fails to read Anthropic’s plugin directory, a mod keeps its previous “in Anthropic directory” flag. New mods appear automatically after passing checks and merging.
Contributing.
You can submit a mod to the catalogue by following the discovery and seed submission guide, or nominate a mod for a “Featured” slot (Karan selects those).

Bottom line.
It’s a community-run, independent catalogue that tells you what Claude Code mods can access before you install them, and helps you find the right one for your needs.
