itbench-hub/ITBench
An open source benchmarking framework for IT automation
What it solves
ITBench provides a standardized way to measure how well AI agents can handle complex, real-world IT automation tasks. It addresses the lack of of realistic environments for testing agents designed for Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), compliance and security (CISO), and financial operations (FinOps).
How it works
The project uses Kubernetes-based environments to recreate realistic IT incidents and scenarios. It provides push-button deployment tooling to set up these environments and a framework for running scenarios. Users can deploy agents to resolve these issues—such as fixing high error rates in a service or assessing compliance posture—and their performance is tracked on a managed leaderboard.
Who it’s for
It is designed for researchers and developers building AI agents for enterprise IT automation, specifically those focusing on reliability, security, and cost optimization.
Highlights
- Enterprise Focus: Covers three critical IT domains: SRE, CISO, and FinOps.
- Kubernetes-native: Uses Kubernetes to simulate real-world operational environments.
- Reference Agents: Includes open-source baseline agents built with the CrewAI framework.
- Managed Evaluation: Offers a fully-managed platform for scenario deployment and agent evaluation.
