Lectures for INFO8006 Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, ULiège
What it solves
This repository provides a complete, structured curriculum for an introductory artificial intelligence course at the university level. It bundles lecture slides, exercises, and hands-on programming projects so students and instructors have all materials in one place.
How it works
The content is organized as Markdown-based slides that render in a browser, alongside PDF files for lectures and exercises. The accompanying Python notebooks run in a managed environment using uv, with PyTorch available as an optional extra. Slides are served locally with a simple HTTP server, and the Pacman projects give practical tasks in search, adversarial search, and Bayes filtering.
Who it’s for
This is aimed at students and teaching staff of the INFO8006 course at ULiège, but it is equally useful for self-learners who want a structured introduction to classic AI topics.
Highlights
- Weekly topics cover intelligent agents, search, games, uncertainty, probabilistic reasoning, machine learning, decisions, and reinforcement learning
- Each lecture has accompanying exercises with solutions for practice
- Three Pacman programming projects: search algorithms, adversarial search, and a Bayes filter, with an imitation learning project planned
- Archived lectures and past exams are included for review
- Setup instructions for Python notebooks using uv, with PyTorch as an optional dependency
