What it solves

Genex is a desktop app for people who want AI to help them build games. Instead of using a single AI chat to brainstorm or write snippets, it turns AI into a team of assistants that can create 3D assets, generate code, and manage the whole game project end to end. It connects to AI subscriptions like Claude Code or ChatGPT, or runs local models, so you can get AI help without leaving your desktop.

How it works

You use the app like a chat window for game dev. Under the hood, Genex runs multiple AI agents: a main agent that plans, plus worker agents and reviewer agents. You can mix different models (for example, Opus for the main agent and GPT for workers) to fit cost and quality. The app includes tools that let agents do real work: a Blender plugin creates 3D assets locally, and a tools router connects to services like Meshy, Tripo, and ElevenLabs. Agents can export and publish games to the web, or build inside Unreal or Godot on a Mac using their plugins. The whole system is extensible via plugins, so you can add new tools or engine bridges.
