Open-source Python challenge courses — your AI coding agent teaches, verify.py decides when you're done.
FlyPython: AI‑assisted Python learning platform
What it is – A bilingual (English/Chinese) open‑source repository that lets you learn Python by completing challenge courses with the help of an AI coding agent (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, etc.). Each course contains a TASK.md contract and a verify.py script that checks your solution and emits a claim code when a checkpoint passes.
How it works –
- Pick a course in
courses/(e.g.,da-eda). - Ask your coding agent to read the FlyPython Skill file and start the course. The agent fetches the files, runs the code, and iterates with you.
- After each change run
python verify.py. The script reports:[open]– still unfinished[passed]– tests succeeded, claim code printed[pending]– reflection checkpoint; runpython verify.py --attest <id>to get an attested code.
- Submit the passed/attested codes to the FlyPython dashboard or let the agent do it automatically.
What you get – A verified, runnable Python project plus a set of claim codes that prove you completed each checkpoint. The repo also ships:
- Guides on AI‑coding workflows, product‑quality engineering, and playbooks for common tasks.
- A curated catalog of 33 reviewed Python resources (foundations, web/APIs, automation, AI agents).
- Machine‑readable manifests (
catalog.json,content-manifest.json) for integration with other tools.
Who it’s for –
- Developers who want to practice Python with instant, AI‑driven feedback.
- LLM agents or coding assistants that need a structured learning environment.
- Educators looking for verifiable, hands‑on Python exercises.
Running locally – No agent required. Clone the repo and execute the verification scripts directly, e.g.:
git clone https://github.com/flypythoncom/python.git
cd python
python examples/product-slug/verify.py starter --expect-failure
python examples/product-slug/verify.py solution
Project health – The repository is CI‑validated (badge shows a GitHub Actions workflow), has a version tag (v0.1.2), and a clear contribution policy. The companion website (flypython.com) mirrors the repo content for a browsable learning experience.
TL;DR – FlyPython is an open‑source, AI‑augmented Python learning platform where you solve verified coding challenges with an LLM‑powered agent, earning claim codes that prove completion.
