feigeCode/navop
A native, all-in-one workspace for databases, SSH, SFTP, terminals, remote desktop, monitoring, and AI.
What it solves
Navop is an all-in-one workspace designed for developers and system administrators who need to manage multiple remote connections, databases, and server operations in a single, GPU-accelerated native application. It eliminates the need to switch between separate tools for SSH, SFTP, database management, and remote desktop access.
How it works
Built with Rust and the GPUI framework for high-performance rendering, Navop integrates several core functionalities into one interface:
- Database Management: Provides native support for a wide range of SQL and NoSQL databases (including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB) with features like ER diagrams and execution plans.
- Remote Access: Implements SSH/Telnet/Serial terminals with split panes and SFTP for file management.
- Remote Desktop: Integrates RDP and VNC, including a native MSTSC integration for Windows users.
- Remote Operations: Supports port forwarding (local, remote, and dynamic SOCKS) and X11 forwarding.
- AI Integration: Incorporates AI for SQL generation, data analysis, and terminal assistance, and can expose its tools as an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for external agents like Claude Code.
Who it’s for
It is designed for backend developers, DevOps engineers, and system administrators who manage complex remote infrastructures and require a high-performance, unified workspace.
Highlights
- GPU-Accelerated: Native Rust application using GPUI for a smooth, responsive interface.
- Extensible: Features an extension marketplace for adding database drivers and remote desktop providers.
- AI-Powered: Includes an Agent Hub and supports tool calling and agent workflows via MCP.
- Comprehensive Remote Tooling: Combines SSH, SFTP, RDP, VNC, and port forwarding in one app.
- Cross-Platform: Available for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
