Connect locally signed-in WorkBuddy models to DeepSeek Harness with a read-only credits overview and model management.

What it solves

If you use WorkBuddy AI (both the China and international editions) on the same machine as DeepSeek Harness (DSH), switching between the WorkBuddy app and your coding tool is tedious. This plugin connects your already logged-in WorkBuddy accounts straight into DSH's model picker, so you can call those models right from the editor without juggling windows. It also handles multiple accounts, tracks credits, and avoids manual guesswork about which model is currently available or discounted.

How it works

The plugin acts as a bundle for DSH. For each region (China vs international), it reads your local WorkBuddy login files (read-only, never writes to them), routes requests through a secure local loopback shim, and talks to WorkBuddy's upstream chat endpoints. It registers two separate providers in DSH — workbuddy for the China version and workbuddy-global for the international version — so both sets of models can appear in the picker at the same time, and different sessions can use different sides.

Model catalogs are refreshed from the same /v3/config that the official app reads, using the app's own client identity. The plugin reads each model's credit multiplier, image-input support, and promotion status from that catalog and reflects them in the UI. It also runs read-only probes to show queue depth (China only) and to test whether a specific model is usable right now, including any cooldown reset time. The account pool lets you mark several accounts and have the plugin auto-switch to a healthy one when a request fails.

Who it's for

Developers who already use WorkBuddy AI on their personal or work machines and also use DeepSeek Harness. They want to use those models directly in their coding environment without switching apps, and they may have several WorkBuddy accounts to manage. It's not for people who don't already have WorkBuddy logins.

Highlights

  • Connects both China and international WorkBuddy accounts to DSH, with a tabbed settings card to manage each region independently.
  • Auto-detects existing logins; add more via QR code (China) or webpage login (international). Tokens never leave the machine and are never sent to the browser page.
  • Account pool with explicit opt-in members; when enabled, the plugin automatically rotates to the next available account on request failures (429, 402, 401, 502). It never overwrites your manual selection when the pool is off.
  • Model rows show live info: activity badges (e.g., night discount), queue level (green rocket for idle, person icons for busy), and a per-model test button that sends a real-sized probe to check availability and cooldown.
  • Built-in image generation tool (off by default, per-region opt-in) that lets the agent draw images using WorkBuddy, with costs clearly stated.
  • Read-only credit meter in the composer input box, with per-account balance table and quick switching.
  • Daily sign-in for eligible China accounts, and one-click claim for promotional rewards — all manual, never automatic.
  • Clear diagnostics: shows why credentials are invalid (e.g., path not found, encrypted field, wrong region) and suggests actionable fixes.
  • Optional features like hiding session-title requests to a cheaper model, and aligning usage-page identity with the official client — all disabled by default unless you choose to enable them.
