Paste a URL or a prompt, get a launch video. Opus 5.5 writes HTML, an OpenComputer serverless agent renders it.
What it solves
LaunchVideo allows users to create short (20-40 second) promotional "launch" videos from a simple URL or text prompt. It bypasses the need for traditional video generation models by using a code-based approach to create animations.
How it works
Instead of using a generative video model, the system uses an AI agent (powered by Claude Opus 5.5) to write a single HTML document containing the animation. A serverless agent on OpenComputer then renders this HTML file frame-by-frame using a headless Chromium browser and encodes the final result into an MP4 file using ffmpeg. To ensure the video is deterministic, the system restricts the use of random functions, external images, and certain HTML tags like <video> or <iframe>.
Who it’s for
Content creators and developers who want to quickly generate high-quality, programmatic animations for product launches without needing complex video editing software or a professional video model.
Highlights
Code-as-Video: Uses HTML and CSS keyframes to define the animation rather than pixels.
Automated Rendering: Fully automated pipeline from prompt to MP4 download via headless Chromium and ffmpeg.
Serverless Execution: Deploys as a serverless agent on OpenComputer using fresh microVMs for each session.
Web-to-Video: Can extract visual styles, colors, and fonts from a provided URL to inform the video's design.
