An offline-first scientific writing workspace powered by Claude. LaTeX + Python + 100+ scientific skills all running locally.
What it solves
ClaudePrism is a local-first scientific writing workspace that combines LaTeX, Python, and AI assistance. It removes the need to upload all files to a cloud-based workspace while providing integrated tools for scientific research, data analysis, and document compilation.
How it works
The application is a native desktop app built with Tauri 2 and Rust. It integrates Tectonic for offline LaTeX compilation and the uv package manager for one-click Python virtual environment setup. Users can interact with Claude (via Anthropic's API) to generate content, run analysis scripts, and manage documents. It also includes a Git-based history system for version control and a live PDF preview with SyncTeX support.
Who it’s for
Researchers, scientists, and academics who write scientific papers, theses, or posters and need a tightly integrated environment for LaTeX, Python-based data analysis, and AI-assisted writing.
Highlights
