Agent Skills for end-to-end story writing in markdown, packaged as Codex and Claude Code plugins.
What it solves
Language models often struggle with long-range consistency in creative writing, leading to plot holes, forgotten character details, or contradictory story states. This project provides a structured framework and a "continuity engine" to track story elements, ensuring that narrative logic remains intact throughout the writing process.
How it works
It organizes a story into a project folder containing Markdown files with YAML frontmatter. These files act as a "story bible" that tracks characters, worldbuilding, plot arcs, and scene states. A companion CLI tool acts as a compiler for fiction, scanning these files to detect contradictions—such as a character appearing after they have died or a plot payoff occurring before its setup—and providing tools to manage, validate, and export the manuscript into various formats.
Who it’s for
This is for fiction writers who use AI agents (like Claude Code, Codex, or others supporting SKILL.md files) to assist with drafting, planning, and editing their novels or serials and want a deterministic way to maintain narrative consistency.
Highlights
- Continuity Compiler: Automatically flags narrative contradictions like dead characters reappearing or unresolved plot threads.
- Agent-Ready Skills: Provides 24 specialized skills for AI agents to handle tasks ranging from premise development to line editing and publishing.
- Standardized Project Format: Uses plain Markdown and YAML, making it compatible with any text editor and version control system like Git.
- Multi-Format Export: Generates various outputs including EPUB, DOCX, screenplay formats, and interactive fiction formats like Twine and ink.
- CI/CD for Fiction: Allows writers to use GitHub Actions to automate chapter drafting and enforce continuity checks on every commit.
