cyrusagents/cyrus
The Claude Code background agent for Linear, Slack, Github, GitLab etc. you deploy anywhere. Supports Codex, Cursor, Gemini, and Opencode harnesses too.
What it solves
Cyrus automates the process of resolving software issues by connecting project management tools (like Linear, GitHub, and GitLab) with AI coding agents (such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Gemini). It removes the manual overhead of tracking issues, setting up local environments, and reporting progress back to the project management system.
How it works
Cyrus monitors assigned issues in platforms like Linear, GitHub, GitLab, or Slack. When an issue is detected, it creates an isolated Git worktree for that specific task. It then triggers an AI coding session using a supported agent to process the issue and streams real-time activity updates, including approvals and dropdown selections, back to the original platform.
Who it’s for
Developers and engineering teams who want to automate issue resolution using AI agents while maintaining a tight integration with their existing ticketing and version control workflows.
Highlights
- Multi-platform support: Integrates with Linear, GitHub, GitLab, and Slack.
- Agent agnostic: Works with various AI coding tools including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Gemini.
- Isolated environments: Uses Git worktrees to keep issue-specific work separate.
- Flexible deployment: Offers self-hosted (community), paid self-hosted, and fully cloud-hosted options.
- BYOK model: Users provide their own API keys and subscriptions for AI tokens.
