crafter-station/petdex
A public gallery of animated pets for Codex, Claude Code, DeepSeek Harness, Hermes, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, and more.
What it solves
Petdex provides a centralized hub for discovering, sharing, and installing animated desktop companions that react to your coding activity. It solves the problem of finding and managing custom mascots for your workspace by standardizing how these animations are packaged and displayed.
How it works
Petdex functions as an ecosystem consisting of a web gallery, a command-line interface (CLI), and a desktop application. You browse and submit animated pets via the website, install them locally using a single CLI command, and view them through a desktop app that floats above your workspace. The app connects to your coding agents and triggers specific animations—such as waving, running, or jumping—based on the agent's real-time activity.
Who it’s for
It is for developers and creators who want to personalize their coding environment with interactive, animated mascots. It is also for builders who want to create their own pets or integrate Petdex's open API into their own desktop tools or SDKs.
