composio-community/awesome-claude-plugins
A curated list of Plugins that let you extend Claude Code with custom commands, agents, hooks, and MCP servers through the plugin system.
What it is
This repo is a hand-picked list of plugins that extend what Claude Code can do — from sending emails and creating GitHub issues to generating front-end designs, writing tests, and managing cloud costs. The plugins live in folders, each following a standard structure so Claude Code can load them.
The flagship plugin: connect-apps
The repo's main focus is the connect-apps plugin. It gives Claude the ability to take real actions — not just generate text — across Gmail, Slack, GitHub, Notion, and 1,000+ other services. You can ask Claude to send you a test email, and if it arrives, you've confirmed the connection works.
How it works
- Clone the repo and run Claude with a plugin:
git clone https://github.com/composiohq/awesome-claude-plugins.git cd awesome-claude-plugins claude --plugin-dir ./connect-apps - Run setup with
/connect-apps:setupand paste a free API key (from dashboard.composio.dev). - Try it — e.g., ask Claude to send you a test email.
You can load multiple plugins at once by passing several --plugin-dir flags.

Plugin structure
Every plugin follows a standard layout:
plugin-name/
├── .claude-plugin/plugin.json # Metadata
├── skills/ # Optional skill definitions
├── commands/ # Optional slash commands
├── agents/ # Optional agent definitions
└── hooks/ # Optional event hooks
The MCP Gateway angle
The README highlights Composio's MCP Gateway — a single endpoint that gives Claude secure access to 1,000+ integrations with built-in authentication, team access controls, and audit logs. The connect-apps plugin is the hands-on example of this.
Contributing & license
Anyone can add a plugin: fork the repo, add a folder with the standard structure, update the README, and submit a pull request. Requirements: the plugin must solve a real use case, avoid duplicating existing functionality, follow the template, and be tested. The repo is MIT licensed (individual plugins may have their own licenses).
Bottom line
If you use Claude Code and want it to do things (send emails, open PRs, catch bugs, deploy code) instead of just answering questions, this repo is a one-stop catalog — with the connect-apps plugin as the main entry point for connecting Claude to your real-world tools.
