What it solves

This project provides a bridge between AI assistants (like Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor) and the South Korean Ministry of Government Legislation's official databases. It solves the problem of "hallucinations" in AI legal research by verifying citations against real-time government data, handling complex legal queries, and providing tools for legislative analysis that standard LLMs cannot perform on their own.

How it works

It acts as an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. When you ask an AI assistant a legal question, the assistant uses this server to call specific tools that query the official Korean legal API. These tools can fetch laws, precedents, and administrative rules, perform "diffs" between different versions of a law, check if a precedent is still valid (Citator), and map the impact of specific legal clauses.
