my space for aiometadata
What it solves
Stremio's default metadata can be limited, especially for anime and niche titles. AIOMetadata solves this by aggregating data from many sources (TMDB, TVDB, MyAnimeList, AniList, IMDb, TVmaze, Fanart.tv, MDBList, and more) so users get richer, more accurate, and more customizable metadata for movies, series, and anime.
How it works
AIOMetadata is an addon you install on Stremio. You configure it via a modern React/Next.js web interface (hosted or self-hosted) to choose your preferred providers per type (movie, series, anime), set search engines, and build custom catalogs. The addon then serves a Stremio manifest URL that delivers metadata, artwork, and catalogs to your Stremio client. It uses Redis for fast, self-healing caching, and maps IDs across all major systems (MAL, TMDB, TVDB, IMDb, AniList, AniDB, Kitsu, TVmaze) so titles stay consistent. Optional add-ons include an image cache, self-hosted Jikan API, LumiereDB, SSO sign-in, and Jellyfin integration.
Who it's for
Power Stremio users who want fine-grained control over their metadata experience, anime fans who need deep support for MAL/AniList/AniDB, self-hosters who prefer to run their own addon, and anyone who wants to integrate streaming provider catalogs (Netflix, Disney+) or personal lists from MDBList.
