cbrock84/headcount

An agent organization for Claude Code, structured as a company — 15+ departments, 125+ skills, each independently installable.

What it solves

Headcount provides a structured, company-like organization of specialized AI agents for Claude Code. Instead of writing complex prompts for every task, users can install "departments" that contain a library of specific skills, allowing the AI to act as a professional specialist (e.g., a security auditor or a financial modeler) based on the context of the request.

How it works

The project organizes 172 skills across 16 departments. Each department is an independently installable plugin. When a user asks a question, the system automatically loads the relevant skill if the request matches the department's territory. Users can also explicitly invoke a specific skill using the syntax department:skill (e.g., /finance:financial-modeling). Additionally, each department includes an agent charter that allows it to be delegated as a subagent with its own dedicated write surface.

Who it’s for

Developers and business owners using Claude Code who want to augment their workflow with a comprehensive suite of professional personas and specialized expertise without managing a massive library of manual prompts.

Highlights

  • Modular Architecture: Departments are installable as plugins, ensuring only necessary functions are loaded into a project.
  • Extensive Skill Set: Covers 16 departments including the Office of the CEO, Technology, Security, Product, Marketing, and Demand Generation.
  • Automatic Activation: Skills load themselves automatically when a user's request matches their area of expertise.
  • Reviewer-Class Departments: Includes specialized departments (like Security) that act as auditors rather than just producers.
