aws-samples/amazon-bedrock-client-for-mac
A native macOS client that brings Amazon Bedrock's AI models directly to your desktop. Access Claude Opus 4.8, Sonnet 4.6, and other foundation models through a clean interface designed for macOS, with system-wide quick access and full AWS integration.
What it solves
It provides a native macOS desktop interface for interacting with Amazon Bedrock's foundation models, eliminating the need to use the AWS Management Console or write custom code to access these AI models from a Mac.
How it works
Built with Swift 6 for macOS 14+, the application integrates with the Amazon Bedrock ConverseStream API. It uses local AWS credentials (via SSO or access keys) to authenticate and allows users to trigger a lightweight AI assistant window from any application using a system-wide hotkey (Option+Space).
Who it’s for
macOS users with an AWS account and Bedrock access who want a fast, keyboard-centric way to use LLMs, image generation, and video generation tools within their daily workflow.
