astrio-labs/forall-mcp
Forall (∀) is a coding harness from Astrio that helps developers build correct software by generating spec-driven code alongside machine-checkable proofs.
What it solves
Software development often struggles with the gap between writing code and verifying that it actually works as intended. Traditional testing only samples a few inputs, and manual formal verification is prohibitively tedious. Forall automates the creation of specifications, contracts, and invariants, making formal verification accessible and integrating it directly into the development workflow.
How it works
Forall uses language models to generate formal specifications and contracts for your code. It then uses automated provers to verify these contracts. Instead of a simple pass/fail, it provides four levels of evidence—Spec tracked, Property tested, Contracted, and Proved—to grade the reliability of your code based on the strongest evidence a machine has actually produced.
Who it’s for
This tool is designed for developers working on mission-critical software or regulated projects (such as those requiring IEC 62304 or DO-178C compliance) who need rigorous, traceable evidence that their code meets its requirements.
Highlights
- Provides four distinct levels of verification evidence, from basic specification tracking to full mathematical proof.
- Offers a standalone CLI for a complete coding agent experience.
- Includes an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for integration with existing AI coding assistants like Cursor or Claude Code.
- Supports multiple languages including TypeScript, Python, Rust, Java, and C, with varying levels of verification depth per language.
