Describe what you need — a presentation, lesson, or story — and let the AI build clean, beautiful HTML slides for you. Local-first. Works offline. Works for you.
What it solves
Oh My PPT is a local-first AI-powered presentation tool that replaces traditional static PPTX files with editable HTML-based slides. It eliminates the time-consuming process of manual layout and formatting by allowing users to describe their content and letting AI handle the outline, page design, and imagery.
How it works
The tool uses a combination of text-generation LLMs (via OpenAI-compatible APIs or local Ollama instances) and image-generation models to create presentations. It converts user prompts, uploaded documents (txt, md, csv, docx), or existing PPTX files into a structured HTML format that can be edited visually or via conversational AI. The application is built as an Electron desktop app, ensuring that session data and assets are stored locally.
Who it’s for
It is designed for professionals, students, and educators who need to create high-quality presentations for roadshows, defenses, or teaching, and who want the flexibility of HTML (animations, code snippets) combined with the ability to export to standard PPTX, PDF, or MP4 formats.
Highlights
- Bi-directional PPTX Support: Uses custom-developed engines to import existing PPTX files and export creations back to editable PPTX files with high visual fidelity.
