What it solves

Exo is an AI-native desktop email client designed to reduce the cognitive load of managing an inbox. It moves beyond simple AI plugins by integrating AI into the core workflow, automating the triage, drafting, and organization of emails so that the user opens an inbox where most tasks are already handled or prepared.

How it works

Built with Electron, React, and TypeScript, Exo integrates with the Gmail API and Anthropic's Claude. It analyzes incoming mail to assign priority levels and generate background drafts based on the user's writing style and thread context. It employs a memory system to learn from user overrides and preferences, and an agentic framework that allows users to trigger specific tasks via a command palette. The system can also delegate tasks to external third-party agents or internal company knowledge agents via a plugin architecture.
