alexandremendoncaalvaro/CorridorKey-Runtime
Native AI keying runtime and OFX plugin for DaVinci Resolve, built in collaboration with Corridor Digital.
What it solves
CorridorKey-Runtime provides a high-performance, native AI-powered keying (chroma keying) tool for video editors and VFX artists. It eliminates the need for complex manual keying by providing an automated, ML-accelerated path for removing backgrounds from video clips, specifically designed for professional editing software like DaVinci Resolve and Foundry Nuke.
How it works
The project implements a native runtime that can be executed via three different interfaces:
- OFX Plugin: An OpenFX 1.4-compliant plugin that integrates directly into the Color or Fusion pages of DaVinci Resolve and Foundry Nuke.
- CLI: A command-line interface (
corridorkey) for automation, scripted processing, and diagnostics. - GUI: A Tauri-based desktop application for users who prefer a graphical interface over the command line.
It leverages hardware acceleration via NVIDIA RTX (TensorRT) on Windows and MLX on Apple Silicon (macOS), allowing for local execution of AI models to process video frames.
Who it’s for
Professional video editors, VFX artists, and colorists using DaVinci Resolve or Foundry Nuke who need a fast, reliable AI-powered background removal tool that runs locally on their own hardware.
Highlights
- Native Local Execution: Processes video locally on the GPU, avoiding cloud-based AI services.
- Professional Integration: Deep integration with industry-standard software via the OFX standard.
- Professional Hardware Support: Optimized for NVIDIA RTX 30 series and newer, and Apple Silicon M-series chips.
- Professional Quality Ladder: Offers multiple quality presets (Draft, High, Ultra, Maximum) to balance speed and performance.
- Professional Workflow: Supports alpha hints for more precise keying results.
