Trilhas de estudo de Ciência de Dados derivadas das aulas da Profa. Cibele Russo (ICMC/USP)

What it solves

Learning data science from a professor's YouTube channel can be overwhelming because the videos are scattered and not organized. This project solves that by curating and structuring the lectures into subject-specific study tracks with a suggested order, so learners can follow a coherent curriculum instead of jumping between unrelated videos.

How it works

The project catalogs 231 videos from Prof. Cibele Russo's channel and groups them into 8 subjects (e.g., Statistics and Inference, Machine Learning, Regression Models). For each subject, it provides a README that presents the track, a lessons file with short didactic explanations, a video list with links to the original lectures, and a PDF of slides. The study materials were generated with Google NotebookLM from the lectures and then formatted into Markdown with LaTeX formulas. A study map (flowchart) suggests a learning order, and a complete catalog of all videos (including 11 non-lecture talks) is available in the catalog folder.

Who it's for

This is for anyone who wants to learn data science, statistics, machine learning, and related topics in a structured way—especially Portuguese (Brazilian) speakers, since the content is in Portuguese. It's free and publicly available with permission from the professor. Learners can use it as a supplementary study guide alongside the original videos.

Highlights

  • 231 cataloged videos organized into 8 subject-area study tracks.
  • Each track includes lesson notes, video links, and slides (PDF) for focused study.
  • A suggested study map (flowchart) guides a coherent learning path.
  • Derived from the official lectures of Prof. Cibele Russo (ICMC/USP) with her authorization.
  • Free to use under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 for the derived material (the videos themselves remain the professor's property).
