aishwaryanr/awesome-generative-ai-guide
A one stop repository for generative AI research updates, interview resources, notebooks and much more!
What is this?
A free, community-driven collection of learning materials for generative AI — the technology behind tools like ChatGPT that creates text, images, and other content. It gathers research papers, courses, interview questions, code notebooks, and more into one organized hub.
How is it organized?
The whole repository is built around one question: "What do you want to do?" You pick a path (called a "journey") based on your goal:
- Use AI — for people who want to apply AI in their work
- Build AI — for people who want to create AI systems (this is the flagship path, with the most depth)
- Understand AI — for people who want to follow the research
- Interview Prep — for people preparing for AI job interviews
- Course catalog — for browsing courses by topic
- Video resources — for people who prefer watching over reading
Each journey has three levels: 101 (start), 201 (practitioner), and 301 (advanced). The levels mean different things in each journey — depth is relative to that journey's goal.
What's inside?
- Topic pages — jump straight to a subject like RAG, fine-tuning, AI agents, or safety, and see which journey and level each resource serves
- Free courses — created by the maintainer (Aishwarya Naresh Reganti) and the LevelUp Labs team; some offer certification (e.g., "AI Evals for Everyone," "OpenClaw Mastery for Everyone")
- Interview prep hub — role-specific folders (AI Engineer, AI Product Manager, Forward-Deployed Engineer, AI Strategist) with question banks, resources, and prep plans
- Top AI tools list — favorite tools across the AI development stack
- Research updates — monthly paper lists and living research tables (latest paper list: June 2026)
- LLM Lingo — a 6-part glossary of common LLM terms
- ICLR 2024 paper summaries — external link to a Notion page
How to use it
Pick the door that fits you (your journey), pick your level (101/201/301), and follow that path. Or, if you already know your subject, go straight to a topic page.

Caveats
- Some sections may be sponsored; the README notes that sponsored sections are marked and not endorsed.
- Provider access terms for courses vary — check each listing before enrolling.
- The README mentions "cohort-based courses on Maven" that are paid (over 3,000 builders have taken them), separate from the free courses.
