Original and practical skills for AI builders.

This project is a collection of installable prompt extensions — small capability packs that plug into Claude Code (an AI coding/assistant tool from Anthropic). Each "skill" is a folder containing a SKILL.md file (a skill description) that defines a new, specialized behavior. When installed, Claude Code can call on that skill, almost like adding a new tool to its toolbox.

Key facts from the README:

Aspect Detail
What it is A personal library of Claude Code skills — installable prompt extensions that give Claude Code new capabilities.
How skills are organized Skills are grouped into five categories: AIGC, Entertainment, Health, Engineering, and Productivity.
Installation methods Two ways: (1) npx skills add <URL> for one skill at a time (recommended), or (2) clone the repo and symlink/copy a skill directory into ~/.agents/skills/ and ~/.claude/skills/.
License Most original content is MIT-licensed. The engineering skills are adapted from Google Engineering Practices under CC-BY 3.0, with attribution noted in each SKILL.md.

What the categories contain (as described in the README)

AIGC — AI-generated content tools for image and video work:

  • presentation-design: builds a 6-slide presentation design board as a single composite image, with layout library and light/dark modes.
  • gunpla-poster: creates collectible Gunpla model-photography posters via a guided interview (suit, framing, pose, environment, aspect ratio).
  • soviet-storybook-grotesque: transforms photos into rough, faded Eastern European children's book illustrations with handwritten-style rhymes.
  • torn-paper-collage-poster: makes torn-paper editorial collage prompts and workflows (layered ripped paper, rough typography, stamps, tape, stickers, photocopy texture).
  • video-character-design: creates reusable character design specs and character sheets for video/storyboard/advertising/animation/AI-video workflows.
  • video-plan: plans short-form videos — story arc, visual style, duration, scene-by-scene structure.
  • video-poster-design: creates cinematic poster concepts and final key art from a brief, plan, storyboard, or character design.
  • video-storyboard: generates storyboard image boards and matching video-generation prompt scripts.

Entertainment — Sports forecasting and interactive prediction tools:

  • world-cup-predictor: predicts World Cup matches, tournament paths, and champion probabilities using subagents that analyze live news, weather, injuries, markets, Polymarket, tactics, and context, while updating a real-time web dashboard.

Health — Child development, parenting, triage, and report interpretation:

  • emergency-triage: helps triage urgent/semi-urgent symptoms, narrows possible causes, and suggests department and exam preparation.
  • lab-interpreter: interprets medical lab reports from images, PDFs, or text, explaining abnormal values and next steps.
  • super-daddy: acts as a family-doctor-style Chinese parenting assistant — maintains profiles, runs structured visits, creates reference-grounded plans, generates visual plan images, and archives cases.

Engineering — Software engineering workflows:

  • engineering-code-review: reviews changes for health, design, functionality, complexity, tests, maintainability, and approval risk.
  • engineering-review-comments: writes clear, respectful, severity-labeled code review comments.
  • engineering-small-prs: splits large changes into reviewable, testable PR/CL sequences.
  • engineering-change-descriptions: drafts or improves PR/CL/commit descriptions for reviewers and future maintainers.
  • engineering-review-feedback: handles reviewer comments constructively (clarifying, fixing, resolving disagreements).
  • engineering-emergency-changes: decides if a hotfix is a true emergency and runs expedited review without losing code health.

Productivity — General workflow tools:

  • feature-dev-loop: end-to-end orchestration for PR-sized feature development (requirements baseline, multi-perspective plan review, serial implementation, acceptance matrix, HTML PR summary).
  • article-to-html: renders markdown into self-contained paper-style HTML pages with inline CSS, SVG figures, callouts, tables, optional interactivity.
  • doctor-strange: runs causal sand-table simulations of future scenarios via parallel universe subagents, storing projections as soft priors.
  • mega-goal-prompt: interviews the user about a long-horizon task and outputs a filled-in /goal mega prompt for Claude Code or Codex CLI.
  • publish-research-site: turns a topic into a citation-backed, image-rich interactive website and deploys it with Vercel CLI.

How installation works

Option 1 — NPX (recommended): installs one skill at a time by pointing npx skills add to the skill's directory URL on GitHub. Example for doctor-strange:

npx skills add https://github.com/agentara/skills/blob/main/skills/productivity/doctor-strange/ -y -g

Option 2 — Manual: clone the repo, then symlink or copy the specific skill folder into both ~/.agents/skills/<skill-name>/ and ~/.claude/skills/<skill-name>/ so Claude Code (and other agents) can discover it:

git clone https://github.com/agentara/skills.git
ln -s /path/to/skills/skills/productivity/doctor-strange ~/.agents/skills/doctor-strange
ln -s /path/to/skills/skills/productivity/doctor-strange ~/.claude/skills/doctor-strange
