X-PLUG/MobileAgent

Mobile-Agent: The Powerful GUI Agent Family

What it solves

It addresses the challenge of automating complex tasks across different graphical user interfaces (GUIs), including mobile phones, desktop computers, and web browsers. It enables an AI to perceive the screen, plan actions, and execute operations to complete multi-step goals without needing underlying API access to the apps.

How it works

The project utilizes a family of native multi-platform GUI agent foundation models called GUI-Owl (built on Qwen3-VL). These models provide the core perception, grounding, and end-to-end operation capabilities. Mobile-Agent-v3 acts as a multi-agent framework on top of GUI-Owl, adding higher-level functions like planning, progress management, reflection, and memory to handle long-horizon tasks.

Who it’s for

It is designed for developers and researchers building autonomous agents capable of interacting with software interfaces (PC, mobile, and web) to automate workflows or provide virtual assistance.

Highlights

  • Cross-Platform Support: Works across desktop, mobile, and browser environments.
  • Native GUI Models: Features the GUI-Owl series (ranging from 2B to 235B parameters) with specialized "Instruct" and "Thinking" versions.
  • Comprehensive Framework: Includes capabilities for planning, reflection, and memory management.
  • Advanced Training: Employs techniques like semi-online reinforcement learning (UI-S1) and trajectory-aware tool synthesis (ToolCUA) for optimal path orchestration.
