原样镜像官方 Codex 桌面应用:每 15 分钟探测、SHA256 可校验、国内直连下载、 Mac 可增量更新 | Verbatim, verifiable mirror of the official Codex desktop app — probed every 15 min, with a Sparkle delta-update feed.
What it solves
This project provides a reliable, verifiable, and globally accessible mirror for OpenAI Codex desktop application installers. It is designed for users who encounter difficulties downloading directly from the Microsoft Store or official sources, ensuring stable access across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
How it works
The project uses an automated pipeline that probes official sources every 15 minutes. It only downloads and publishes new versions when it detects an upstream change. Assets are mirrored to a global Cloudflare R2 bucket with an automatic failover to an S3 mirror for users in mainland China, all managed through a single set of short links. For macOS, it provides a Sparkle-compatible update feed that allows for incremental (delta) updates, maintaining the original digital signatures to ensure integrity.
Who it’s for
It is for users who need a stable, alternative download channel for Codex, as well as developers building tools like the Codex App Manager, which uses this project as its backend for distribution and updates.
Highlights
- Verifiable Integrity: Every release includes SHA256 checksums and a manifest of upstream fingerprints.
- Geo-Aware Routing: Automatically routes traffic to the fastest mirror node based on the user's location.
- Incremental Updates: Supports macOS Sparkle delta updates, reducing download sizes by only fetching changes between versions.
- No Modification: Packages are mirrored verbatim; the project does not repackage, crack, or alter the original software.
- Automated Pipeline: Uses a combination of Cloudflare Cron and GitHub Actions to ensure timely updates with a 6-hour fallback mechanism.
