CineGen AI Director – browser‑based AI manga & short‑drama workbench
What it is – A web application that lets you go from a story outline to a short video (manga‑style motion comic, animatic, or drama) entirely in the browser. It strings together Google Gemini for text‑to‑script, image generation, and Veo for short video clips, letting you define keyframes (start / optional end images) for each shot so you keep visual control while the AI does the heavy lifting.
How it works
- Script & storyboard – Paste an outline, pick language & length, then Gemini parses it into scenes, characters and shot‑level prompts.
- Reference assets – Gemini also creates character and location images; you can generate variants while keeping a base reference for consistency.
- Director workbench – A grid view where each shot gets a start keyframe (and optionally an end keyframe). Veo turns those frames into a short video clip.
- Preview & status – Watch generated clips, see which shots are complete, and iterate.
Why keyframes? Supplying concrete start/end images gives creators more precise control over composition and transitions than a pure text prompt.
Running it locally
git clone https://github.com/UllrAI/CineGen-ShortDrama.git
cd CineGen-ShortDrama
npm install
npm run dev # Vite dev server, default http://localhost:3000
You need a Google Gemini API key with access to the Gemini and Veo models; the key is stored in the browser’s localStorage and projects live in IndexedDB.
Tech stack – Node.js, Vite, React (implied by the front‑end), Google Gemini API, Veo video generation API, browser storage APIs.
