Supra-3D/SUPRA-Tex
SUPRA-Tex: 3D Generation with Super-Aligned Texture
What it solves
SUPRA-Tex addresses the challenge of generating high-quality, realistic 3D assets from a single image. It focuses on preserving fine visual details—such as text, specific patterns, and material boundaries—that are often lost in standard 3D generation, while ensuring the resulting object is relightable.
How it works
The system uses a multi-stage pipeline. First, it predicts PBR (Physically Based Rendering) materials from the reference view of an input image. It then encodes these as surface-aligned 3D observations. An "Interleaved Flow Transformer" is used to fill in the unseen areas of the object. The final output is a GLB file containing base color, metallic, and roughness textures, allowing the asset to be rendered under different lighting conditions.
Who it’s for
This tool is designed for researchers and developers working on 3D content creation, asset generation, or computer vision tasks who need high-fidelity textures and PBR-compliant 3D models from minimal input data.
Highlights
- Generates complete PBR assets with base color, metallic, and roughness maps.
- Preserves input image details like lettering and patterns using surface-aligned observations.
- Supports both end-to-end image-to-3D generation and texturing of existing meshes.
- Includes an optional refinement mode for high-intricacy textures.
- Offers a dual-view texturing workflow to improve the appearance of the unseen "back" side of objects.
