Santroller/Santroller

Firmware for using various microcontrollers as controllers.

What it solves

Rhythm game players often want to use custom or arcade-style controllers, but getting that hardware to work across different games and systems is not straightforward. Santroller addresses this by letting people program microcontrollers to act as standard rhythm game controllers, compatible with both computers and consoles.

How it works

The platform is built around the Santroller Configurator, a tool that writes firmware onto supported microcontroller boards. Once programmed, those microcontrollers behave like the original rhythm game controllers, so the game or console recognizes them without any special drivers or hacks.

Who it's for

It is aimed at people who build or customize their own rhythm game controllers and are comfortable tinkering with microcontroller hardware and configuration software.
