OpenCodex is a middleware layer for Codex/ChatGPT Desktop. It lets you use a phone, tablet, or another computer to access and operate Codex on a target machine through a browser, making it suitable for continuous AI Coding in LAN or remote LAN environments.

OpenCodex provides a way to access and operate the Codex desktop runtime (including old Codex Desktop and new ChatGPT Desktop) via a web browser. How it works

It acts as a middleware layer (gateway) that exposes the Codex desktop runtime to the web. It supports local, LAN, and remote access (via tools like Tailscale, ZeroTier, or VPNs). The system includes a desktop launcher for easy configuration of listening addresses, ports, and passwords, and it automatically synchronizes with the local Codex/ChatGPT Desktop runtime version to maintain compatibility with new features.
