Folo – AI‑enhanced RSS reader

What it is – Folo is an open‑source, cross‑platform RSS/feed reader that adds AI‑driven helpers. It gathers blogs, news sites, newsletters, podcasts, video channels and social feeds into a single timeline and lets you ask an LLM about the content, get daily digests, translate or summarise articles, and automate tasks.

Key AI features

• Folo AI – you can query any article, folder or the whole feed collection. Bring your own API key or pick from supported models, and connect to external services (MCP) for richer workflows.
• Summaries & translations – on‑demand or automatic AI‑generated summaries; translations into English, Chinese, Japanese or French.
• AI tasks – schedule briefings that are generated and sent to chat or email.

Platform support – runs as a web app and native clients for iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, Linux (AppImage, Flatpak, Nix, Homebrew, Scoop, etc.). Syncs subscriptions, read status and stars across devices.
