Pasta-Devs/Marinara-Engine
AI frontend
What it solves
Marinara Engine provides a local, all-in-one environment for AI-powered chat, roleplay, and gaming. It eliminates the complex setup typically associated with local AI tools by offering a "plug-and-play" experience that integrates multiple AI providers, character management, and immersive visual elements into a single interface.
How it works
The engine acts as a local server that connects to various AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, and local models) to power its features. It uses a modular system of "Agents"—specialized AI packages that can be downloaded to handle specific tasks like tracking quests, managing world states, or generating prose. It supports three distinct modes: Conversation (Discord-style DMs), Roleplay (immersive RPG with sprites), and Game (AI Game Master mode). Data is stored locally on the user's machine, ensuring privacy and no account requirement.
Who it’s for
It is designed for AI enthusiasts, roleplayers, and gamers who want an intuitive, local-first AI companion or game engine without spending hours on technical configuration.
