Foundations-of-Computer-Vision/visionbook

<Foundations of Computer Vision> Book

This is the visionbook repository from the Foundations-of-Computer-Vision GitHub organization. It's a book about computer vision fundamentals, written in a way that gets rendered into a website.

The content lives in .qmd files (Quarto Markdown). These files look a lot like regular Markdown but also support LaTeX math formulas. The tool Quarto converts them into HTML pages for the web.

Getting set up locally:

  1. Install Quarto — the command-line tool. Verify with quarto --version.
  2. Run quarto preview from the repo. This opens a live-reloading browser tab at localhost:<port>. Any edits to the .qmd files will appear automatically in the browser.

One important caveat: the repository is large. The README suggests cloning with git clone --depth=1 for a faster, shallow clone (which fetches only the latest commit, not the full history).

That's all the README tells us — no additional features or details are described beyond this workflow.
