Awesome-AI-Virtual-Cell: papers, datasets, benchmarks, talks, and community resources for AIVC

What it solves

Researchers in virtual cell science face a rapidly growing and scattered literature. This project collects the most relevant papers, datasets, benchmarks, and community resources into one organized place, with curated reading tracks that help newcomers avoid feeling lost.

How it works

The repository is an “awesome list” — a hand-curated collection of links and summaries. Resources are tagged by research theme (Virtual Cells, Foundation Models, Perturbation Modeling, Multimodal & Spatial, Intervention Design, Evaluation & Measurement) and sorted by year. Each entry includes the paper title, publication venue or preprint server, topic tags, and links to the paper and code when available. A special “Start Here” section proposes recommended entry points for six common goals, so users can pick a track instead of reading everything. The project also provides an interactive, searchable online catalog and a research landscape map.

Who it’s for

Computational biologists, AI researchers, graduate students, and practitioners who want to enter the virtual cell field or stay current without manually combing through hundreds of papers and repositories.
