Barty-Bart/motion-graphics
Motion-graphics skills for Claude Code and Codex.
What it solves
This project provides motion-graphics skills for AI agents (specifically Claude Code), allowing them to automatically generate timed B-roll clips for videos based on a transcript. It eliminates the manual effort of planning and rendering motion graphics that sync with spoken words.
How it works
The system uses a shared engine where every frame is treated as a pure function of time, using closed-form step responses for springs. Clips are created as small HTML files rendered via headless Chromium. To achieve professional motion blur, the system captures four sub-frames per frame across a 180° shutter and blends them using ffmpeg.
Who it’s for
Video editors and content creators who use AI agents to automate the production of high-quality, continuous morphing motion graphics for their video timelines.
Highlights
- Automated Planning: Analyzes video resolution, frame rate, and layout to plan whether to use full-frame cutaways or transparent panels.
- Continuous Animation: Creates clips where shapes morph (e.g., from a pill to a chart) without cuts, driven by a cursor.
- Comprehensive Output: Generates MP4 cutaways, transparent ProRes 4444 .mov panels, and HTML comparison tools for review.
- Precise Timing: Estimates word timings from transcripts (SRT, Descript, or YouTube) to ensure graphics are perfectly synced to the audio.
