Unrestricted Open-source alternative to AI video platforms — Free AI image & video generation studio with 600+ models (Flux, Midjourney, Kling, Sora, Veo). No content filters. Self-hosted, MIT licensed.
What it solves
Open Generative AI provides a free, open-source alternative to closed AI video and image platforms. It removes restrictive content filters, subscription fees, and vendor lock-in, giving users full creative freedom to generate media without prompt rejections or guardrails.
How it works
The project is a comprehensive studio interface available as a hosted web app or a desktop application. It connects to a vast library of over 400 state-of-the-art models across 14 specialized studios (Image, Video, Audio, Lip Sync, etc.).
For those wanting to run models locally, the desktop app includes two inference engines:
- sd.cpp: A bundled C++ engine for image models (SD 1.5, SDXL, Z-Image) that supports Metal GPU on Mac and CUDA/Vulkan/ROCm on Windows/Linux.
- Wan2GP: A client for a user-provided Gradio server to run heavy video models (Wan 2.2, Hunyuan, LTX) and large image models (Flux, Qwen-Image) on NVIDIA/AMD GPUs.
Who it’s for
It is designed for creators, designers, and AI enthusiasts who want an unrestricted environment for generating high-quality AI images, videos, and audio, as well as those who wish to self-host their creative tools.
Highlights
- Massive Model Library: Access to 400+ models for text-to-image, image-to-image, text-to-video, and image-to-video.
- Specialized Studios: Dedicated environments for Lip Sync, Cinema (with pro camera controls), Marketing, and AI Influencer content.
- Visual Workflows: A node-based Workflow Studio to chain multiple AI models into automated pipelines.
- Local Inference: Ability to run models on your own hardware via bundled engines to ensure data privacy and offline access.
- Multi-Image Input: Support for up to 14 reference images for advanced editing models.
