Installation & first use

  • Codex: add the Git marketplace, install as@skills-for-architects, then run codex and invoke $studio.
  • Claude Code: install via the Claude marketplace, then run /as:studio.
  • The plugin does not create any files until the user approves a target directory, keeping the setup fully local and under the firm’s control.

Typical workflow

  1. Start a studio ($studio / /as:studio) to configure account, standards, and default policies.
  2. Ask an agent (e.g., Norma) to perform a task: /as:norma task chair, mesh back, under $800.
  3. Invoke a skill directly if you prefer: $environmental-analysis 123 Main St (Codex) or /as:environmental-analysis 123 Main St (Claude).
  4. Create custom skills with /as:skill-maker; the tool validates against the firm’s governance policies and writes the skill to the appropriate workspace layer.
  5. Persist records – the studio automatically creates CSV files (DOCUMENTS.csv, TASKS.csv, INVOICES.csv, etc.) for project bookkeeping.

Bundled agents & skills

  • Agents: site‑planner, NYC‑zoning‑expert, workplace‑strategist, product‑and‑materials‑researcher, FF&E‑designer, sustainability‑specialist, brand‑manager, plus an optional coordinator “Norma”.
  • Skill groups cover firm operations (dispatcher, learn), project management (records, workplan, invoices), professional practice (AIA vocab, CSI/NCS references), and design tasks (due‑diligence, zoning, programming, specifications, sustainability, FF&E, presentations).
  • Example skill entry points: spec-writer, product-cut-sheet, ffe-spec-book, epd-to-spec.

Extensibility

  • Studio‑level skills live in studio/.agents/skills/ (or .claude/skills/ for Claude) and represent firm‑wide standards.
  • Project‑level skills reside under each project’s .agents/skills/ directory for client‑specific procedures.
  • Contributions can be submitted upstream to enrich the shared catalog.
