ChatGPT has reached more than 900 million weekly active users and over 50 million consumer subscribers. The company noted that January and February 2026 are on track to be the largest months for new subscribers in its history.

Codex

Weekly Codex users have more than tripled since the start of the year, reaching 1.6 million users. This growth enables more individuals to automate and ship software that previously required full engineering teams.

Enterprise and Business Use

More than 9 million paying business users utilize ChatGPT for work. Enterprises and governments are leveraging the OpenAI platform and the Frontier platform to build and manage AI coworkers across operations, finance, sales, support, and engineering.
