This organization would establish shared safety standards and could potentially coordinate actions such as slowing frontier development when necessary to allow societal resilience, safety, and alignment to keep pace.

OpenAI defines "AI resilience" as the collective systems, organizations, and individuals that society must implement to anticipate and recover from AI-driven disruptions. The company argues that concentrated power creates fragility, while widely shared power makes societies more resilient and adaptable.
