Enterprise-Wide AI Integration

Samsung Electronics is making ChatGPT and Codex available to all employees based in Korea and all employees worldwide within the Device eXperience (DX) division. The deployment spans across multiple business functions, including:

  • Marketing and Corporate Functions: Streamlining document drafting, idea development, and data interpretation.

ChatGPT Enterprise

Samsung employees use ChatGPT Enterprise for knowledge-based tasks, including analyzing information, drafting documents, and interpreting data. The Enterprise version provides critical security controls, user and access management, and data protection, allowing the company to maintain its security policies and governance framework while utilizing advanced AI.

Codex

While originally a software development tool, Codex is now used for both technical and non-technical workflows. Key applications include:

  • Developer Productivity: Writing, reviewing, and debugging code.
  • Non-Technical Workflows: Creating internal tools, websites, and automated workflows to turn ideas into working software.

Adoption Metrics and Market Context

Codex has reached over 5 million weekly active users globally. In Korea, weekly active users for Codex have grown nearly 800% since February 1, 2026.

Strategic Partnership Expansion

This deployment expands the existing relationship between OpenAI and Samsung Electronics beyond AI infrastructure. Previously, the two companies collaborated on supplying advanced memory semiconductors for next-generation AI infrastructure.
