msitarzewski/agency-agents-app

Agency Agents is a small, native app for browsing, installing, and tracking the agent personas from msitarzewski/agency-agents across the AI coding tools you actually use.

What it solves

Agency Agents is a native application that simplifies the process of browsing, installing, and managing AI agent personas across multiple AI coding tools. Because different tools (like Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot) use different file formats and installation paths for their agent personas, manually managing them is tedious and fragmented. This app provides a centralized control surface to deploy these personas into the tools you use.

How it works

The app acts as a manager for the agency-agents catalog. It uses a Rust-based backend to deterministically render agent personas into the specific formats required by various AI tools. It maintains a local ledger to track every installation, allowing the app to detect "drift" (when a file is modified outside the app) and handle updates, removals, or backups without guesswork.

Who it’s for

Developers and AI power users who use multiple AI coding assistants and want to leverage a curated catalog of specialist AI agent personas to improve their coding workflow.

Highlights

  • Cross-Tool Deployment: Installs personas to targets like Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI, and GitHub Copilot.
  • Install Tracking & Reconciliation: Uses a local ledger and byte-comparison to detect if installed personas have been modified or are outdated.
  • Project-Scoped Installs: Allows agents to be installed specifically for a single project rather than globally.
  • Offline-First: Ships with a bundled baseline catalog and supports local clones of the agent repository.
  • Lighweight Native Shell: Built with Tauri 2 and Svelte 5 for a native experience without the Electron footprint.
