What it solves

Agent Sessions is a local-first macOS application that solves the problem of fragmented agent history and opaque quota usage. When using multiple AI coding agents, it is often difficult to track which specific session is consuming API quotas or to search through transcripts across different tools (like Cursor, Claude, and Codex) in a single interface.

How it works

The app reads local session files and databases from various AI agents (such as .jsonl files or SQLite databases) stored on the user's Mac. It builds local indexes to provide a unified, searchable view of transcripts and images. Additionally, it includes a "Quota Meter" that monitors live burn rates for Codex and Claude, attributing usage to individual sessions and allowing users to view costs in terms of percentage of quota, tokens per hour, or estimated dollar amounts based on a public price list.
