rociiu/talorys

Your personal AI agent in your own Cloudflare account. Chat, memory, tasks, notes and scheduled reminders, deployed with one command: npx create-talorys@latest. Free-tier friendly, single-user, no telemetry.

Talorys – Personal AI Assistant Hosted on Your Cloudflare Account

What it is

  • An open‑source, single‑user AI assistant that lives entirely inside a personal Cloudflare account.
  • Provides chat, memory, task/note/project management, and scheduled automations (reminders, digests, AI‑driven routines).
  • No external servers or databases – all data is stored in a SQLite‑backed Durable Object that you own.

How it works

  1. Frontend – A React/Vite app served from Cloudflare Pages (*.pages.dev).
  2. API layer – A private Cloudflare Workers function (Hono router) forwards requests via a service binding to a dedicated Worker.
  3. Agent – The Worker runs a TalorysAgent (Cloudflare Agents SDK) that:
    • Stores conversations, memories, tasks, notes, projects, automations, etc. in SQLite.
    • Calls Workers AI (@cf/zai-org/glm-4.7-flash) for streaming chat and tool‑calling.
    • Uses Durable Object alarms for reminders and recurring schedules.
  4. Security – Authentication happens in the Worker; the owner password is hashed locally and stored only as a Cloudflare secret. No telemetry leaves your account.

Key features

  • Chat with streaming responses, Markdown rendering, and visible tool activity.
  • Memory: durable personal facts; optional semantic recall (meaning‑based search).
  • CRUD for tasks, notes, projects directly from the UI or via chat commands.
  • Automations: one‑time/recurring reminders, daily digests, optional AI routines; run on Durable Object alarms, so nothing stays online continuously.
  • Offline mode: tasks/notes continue to work even if Workers AI quota is exhausted.
  • Backup & restore: download a JSON backup of all personal data; import merges safely.
  • Self‑hosted free tier: Designed to fit Cloudflare Workers Free plan (Pages, Workers, Durable Objects, Workers AI free daily allocation). No paid services are provisioned automatically.

Installation

npx create-talorys@latest

The installer guides you through:

  • Node 22+ check, Cloudflare login, account selection.
  • Setting an owner password (hashed locally).
  • Generating secrets, resource names, and deploying the private Worker + Pages site.
  • Verifying the deployment without invoking AI. It creates a talorys/ folder with non‑secret config for future updates.

Development

  • Clone the repo, npm install, npm run dev to spin up the Worker, Pages proxy, and Vite UI locally.
  • Uses a deterministic mock AI provider, so no Cloudflare login is needed for local work.
  • Full test suite (unit, e2e, smoke) and TypeScript type‑checking.

Maintenance

  • Update with npx create-talorys@latest update – redeploys code while preserving the Durable Object namespace and password.
  • Reset password via npx create-talorys@latest reset-password.
  • Health checks via npx create-talorys@latest doctor.

Who it’s for

  • Users who want a private, self‑hosted AI assistant without managing their own servers.
  • Developers comfortable with Cloudflare’s platform who want a ready‑made personal agent.
