openakita/openakita
An open-source AI assistant framework with skills and agent architecture
What it solves
OpenAkita is an all-in-one AI assistant designed to move beyond simple chat by enabling autonomous task execution. It solves the problem of fragmented AI tools by integrating multi-agent collaboration, computer operation, and seamless connectivity to popular messaging platforms into a single, GUI-based system.
How it works
The system uses a ReAct (Think-Act-Observe) reasoning engine to decompose complex tasks into step-by-step plans. It employs an orchestration layer that can manage either a team of specialized agents working in parallel or a full "AI company" structure with hierarchical roles (CEO, CTO, etc.) and shared memory (blackboards). It connects to LLMs via a plugin system and integrates with messaging apps through a "scan-to-bind" mechanism, allowing users to interact with the AI via QR codes without complex developer configurations.
Who it’s for
- Non-technical users who want a powerful AI assistant with a zero-command-line, GUI-based setup.
- Developers who want an extensible framework to build multi-agent systems and custom tools via a plugin architecture.
- Teams looking to automate business processes using an autonomous AI organization structure.
Highlights
- Organization Orchestration: Build a visual AI company with hierarchical roles and autonomous agents.
- IM Scan-to-Bind: Quick 30-second integration with WeChat, Feishu, and WeCom via QR codes.
- 6-Layer Sandbox Security: Protects the system using path zoning, command interception, and OS-level sandboxing.
- Dual-Mode Memory: Combines fragment memory with a relational graph for smarter, long-term recall.
- Extensive Integration: Supports 30+ LLM providers, 6 IM platforms, and 89+ built-in tools.
