jjazzboss/JJazzLab
A complete and open application for automatic backing tracks generation.
What it solves
JJazzLab provides a way to generate realistic, non-boring backing tracks for musicians. It eliminates the need for manually creating every instrument part for a practice or composition session, allowing users to simply provide chord symbols and a style selection to get a full ensemble sound.
How it works
The application takes user-inputted chord symbols and a selected music style (rhythm) to generate a complete backing track featuring drums, bass, guitar, piano, and strings. It uses an embedded software synth based on FluidSynth for sound generation, but can also be connected to external VST plugins via virtual MIDI cables.
Who it’s for
It is designed for musicians who want a "jam buddy" for home practice, students learning music, teachers, and composers in the early stages of their songwriting process.
