The agent-native open source ERP
What it solves
Accounted is an open-source accounting software designed for Swedish sole traders and limited companies. It solves the problem of maintaining legal compliance with Swedish accounting law (Bokföringslagen) while providing a modern, agent-native interface that allows AI to assist with bookkeeping tasks.
How it works
The system implements a strict double-entry bookkeeping engine where legal requirements—such as voucher immutability and sequential numbering—are enforced via database triggers. It exposes its entire bookkeeping engine as over 150 tools via the Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing AI agents (like Claude or ChatGPT) to categorize transactions and draft vouchers. To ensure accuracy, the AI proposes changes which are then staged for human approval before being committed.
Who it’s for
It is built for Swedish business owners (sole traders and limited companies) who want a compliant, self-hostable accounting solution that can be operated by either a human or an AI agent.
