chaterm/Chaterm

Open source AI terminal for cloud and infrastructure management, enabling you to deploy, troubleshoot, and automate services using natural language and intelligent agents.

What it solves

Chaterm addresses the high cognitive barrier and complexity of infrastructure and cloud resource management. It eliminates the need for engineers to memorize complex command syntax and parameters by allowing them to manage servers, Kubernetes clusters, and multi-cluster workflows using natural language.

How it works

Chaterm functions as an AI-native terminal and infrastructure agent. It uses an AI Agent to autonomously plan and execute complex tasks—such as service deployment and fault diagnosis—across multiple hosts. It integrates a knowledge base using hybrid vector and keyword retrieval (with RRF fusion) to incorporate technical manuals and internal documents into its decision-making process. Additionally, it allows users to encapsulate frequent maintenance processes into reusable "Agent Skills" for structured automation.

Who it’s for

It is designed for DevOps engineers, SREs, and developers who manage cloud infrastructure and need a more efficient, intelligent way to handle remote maintenance, troubleshooting, and resource orchestration.

Highlights

  • AI-Driven Execution: Moves from simple command suggestions to autonomous planning and execution of complex operational loops.
