SolaceLabs/solace-agent-mesh

An event-driven framework designed to build and orchestrate multi-agent AI systems. It enables seamless integration of AI agents with real-world data sources and systems, facilitating complex, multi-step workflows.

What it solves

Solace Agent Mesh (SAM) provides a framework for building scalable, production-ready AI applications where multiple specialized AI agents collaborate to solve complex problems. It eliminates the manual overhead of managing communication between agents by providing a standardized communication layer.

How it works

SAM uses an event-driven architecture powered by the Solace Platform Event Brokers. It integrates Google's Agent Development Kit (ADK) for AI logic and tool integration with the Solace AI Connector (SAC) for broker connections and configuration. Agents communicate via a standardized Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol, allowing them to discover each other and delegate tasks seamlessly.

Who it’s for

Developers building multi-agent AI systems that require high reliability, asynchronous communication, and the ability to integrate with diverse user interfaces (like Slack or REST APIs) and external data sources.

Highlights

  • Event-Driven Scalability: Uses the Solace Event Mesh for decoupled, asynchronous agent communication.
  • Agent Orchestration: Includes an Orchestrator agent that automatically breaks down and delegates complex tasks.
  • A2A Protocol: Enables seamless discovery and task delegation between peer agents.
  • Flexible Integration: Supports gateways for REST APIs, web UIs, and Slack, as well as MCP (Model Context Protocol) server integration.
  • Dynamic Embeds: Allows real-time data and calculations to be embedded directly into agent responses.
