Owl-Listener/designer-skills
Designer Skills Collection: agentic skills, commands, and plugins for design — from research to systems, UI, interaction, and delivery.
What it solves
Most design knowledge is written for humans, which often leads AI agents to guess meaning and produce hollow results. This project provides a structured library of design expertise—"skills" and "commands"—written specifically for AI agents to follow, ensuring they apply professional design judgment and taste to their work.
How it works
The project is organized as a suite of plugins for AI coding assistants like Claude Code and Gemini CLI. It separates knowledge into two types:
- Skills: Domain knowledge units (nouns) that teach the agent about specific design topics (e.g., how to define design tokens).
- Commands: Workflows (verbs) that chain multiple skills together to complete a full job (e.g.,
/design-research:discoverto run a full discovery cycle).
Who it’s for
Designers and product builders who use AI coding assistants to handle research, UX strategy, UI design, interaction design, and design operations.
Highlights
- Comprehensive Coverage: Includes 241 skills and 91 commands across 33 plugins divided into five specialized collections (Design Practice, AI Product Design, UX Program Management, Design Leadership, and Inclusive Design).
- End-to-End Workflows: Provides specific commands for complex tasks like developer handoff, heuristic evaluations, and building typography systems.
- Agent-Ready: Specifically formatted for seamless integration with Claude Code and Gemini CLI.
- Structured Design Grain: Organizes the design process from research and strategy through to UI, systems, and operations.
